How to get your Instagram data (one-time, ~5 min)
  1. Instagram app: Settings & activity → Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Download your information.
  2. Choose Download or transfer information → your account → Some of your information.
  3. Select only Followers and following.
  4. Set Format: JSON, date range All time, then request the download.
  5. Instagram emails you a file in a few minutes. Unzip it and find followers_1.json and following.json (in connections/followers_and_following/).
  6. Drop both files below. To see changes, re-download later and drop the new files in.
